Paul and Victoria, Ashford

Paul and Victoria have just bought their very first home. They have been hoping to buy for some time but did not think they would be able to as they were having difficulty raising a deposit. They heard about Moat through a work colleague of Victoria's and made an application.

They put their names down for a property at The Willows, a brand new development in South Willesborough that was available to people who lived or worked in Ashford. Once it had been confirmed that they had reserved a two bedroom house, they applied for a mortgage. Despite Paul's concerns over his credit history, they were able to raise a mortgage for a 65% share of the house.

They were previously renting a one bedroom house in Chatham but wanted to purchase a property as they felt they were "throwing money away" by renting.
Had this property not been available to them, they would have had to continue renting, as they cannot afford to buy a property outright.

Their home has a fitted kitchen (including cooker), fitted bathroom, double-glazing, garden and an allocated parking space. Paul said, "It is very well located to the centre of Ashford but also feels quite rural. It is a nice mix of the two."

Paul said, "This property will mean a better quality of life for both of us."

Please be aware that the market value of properties can go down as well as up.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other debt secured on it.
